Rheumatoid arthritis point estimator
This educational tool follows the 2010 ACR/EULAR classification point system. Choose one dropdown answer in each section.
Before using the scoreHas a clinician confirmed swelling in at least one joint?
The criteria should only be applied after true joint swelling is confirmed and another more likely cause is excluded.
01
Joints involved
Choose the closest pattern of tender or swollen joints. Small joints include knuckles, middle finger joints, wrists and toe joints.
02
Rheumatoid blood tests
Use a recent RF and anti-CCP/ACPA report. The laboratory report determines whether a positive result is low or high.
03
Inflammation tests
Compare CRP and ESR with the normal range printed by the laboratory.
04
Symptom duration
Count from when swelling, pain or stiffness in the involved joints began.
Important: This is a classification aid, not a diagnosis or a general symptom quiz. Do not start, stop or change medicines based on this score.
